Meet Bianca: Founder of Salon Diversions

Bianca opened Salon Diversions in 1994 and has spent more than 30 years in an industry that has taken her all over the world. Her work and education have brought her to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Rome, and beyond, but New Orleans has always been home.

One of the biggest chapters of Bianca’s career has been hair extensions. Long before they became a regular part of salon life, she was bringing extension services to New Orleans. She trained in multiple methods across Los Angeles, Atlanta, and London and later became a licensed instructor, teaching extension techniques to stylists around the country. Throughout it all, her approach has focused on protecting the natural hair and finding the right method for each individual client.

Bianca’s experience eventually expanded beyond the chair and into the business of running a salon. In 2022, she completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, building on decades of experience as a salon owner.

More than 30 years after opening Salon Diversions, Bianca remains the heart of its history and the reason it exists today. The salon has grown and changed a lot since 1994, but her original idea of creating a place where talented stylists could do great work and people could feel comfortable being themselves continues to shape what Salon Diversions is today.
