Meet Savanna: Salon Assistant at Salon Diversions

Originally from North Carolina, Savanna studied Anthropology at UNC Asheville before making the move to New Orleans in 2020. Before finding her way into the beauty industry, she worked as both a teacher and a nanny, so taking care of people has been a pretty consistent theme throughout her career.

Savanna began cosmetology school at the Aveda Institute in 2025 and is now a licensed cosmetologist. She joined Salon Diversions as our salon assistant while continuing her training toward becoming a stylist and building on everything she learned in school with hands-on experience in the salon.

If you’ve been in lately, there’s a good chance you’ve already met her. Savanna helps keep our days running smoothly, whether she’s welcoming clients at the front desk, helping the stylists behind the scenes, shampooing, or jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed. Along the way, she gets to work closely with our team and continue learning the day-to-day side of being behind the chair.

Outside the salon, Savanna loves pop culture, thrifting, and spending time with her pets. For now, you’ll find her all over Salon Diversions, but eventually you’ll be seeing her behind a chair of her own.
